History: A small-time crook Eel O'Brian was wounded and had a vat of acid dumped on him, he managed to make his way to a monastery where kindly monks gave him inspiration to fight for the right side of the law.



Now with his stretchable powers and great sense of humor Plastic Man is one of the newer members of the Justice League of America.
